Dear Parents,

Hello! My name is Mr Thomas Sparks and in some way, I am impacting your child this year. Whether that is by teaching them World History, Economics, and Civics. Or, they are participating in one of the many clubs I am involved with. These clubs include Chess, Engineering, Culture, Interact, and I am also highly involved in the Marching Band, but despite all of that I do have a life and I would like to tell you a little more about myself.

First off, I was born in Southern California, but I have lived my whole life here in Bald Knob! Second, I am an avid traveller. I was given the amazing opportunity to travel abroad in Europe for a month and a half in 2015. I explored many countries. These countries are Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, and Greece. I loved it so much it is difficult to stop. Recently I have travelled to Germany as well. If this sounds like something you or your children are interested in check out the Culture Club! Other than travelling I find myself to be a well-rounded individual. I enjoy going hiking, camping, disc golfing, hammocking and I am even a certified Scuba Diver.

When inside, my wife and I enjoy watching movies and reading books. I have two wonderful dogs that I love and adore. Daisy who is 3 years old and is a Siberian Husky, and Mika who is a Husky mix that is about 1 year old.

I graduated from Bald Knob High School in May 2011. From there I started as a Music Major at the University of Central Arkansas by playing the trumpet. After a year and a half, I decided that was not the career for me and switched to being a History Education Major. In 2014-2015 I did my student internship at Pulaski Heights Middle School and then graduated UCA in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Education emphasis Social Studies. I am now in my third year of teaching World History, Arkansas History, Civics and AP Gov and Politics at Bald Knob High School.
